Leon joined the Plus Fitness team in July 2017.
Apart from his University qualifications, he is also a 4th Dan Blackbelt Freestyle Kickboxing.
You will see him around the centre fairly regularly and he is available for Personal Training.
Mark played football and competed in athletics and swimming at school but it was never really of keen interest to him. It wasn’t until he left school and took up regular gym training that his passion for fitness began. Whilst studying Information Technology at University and battling clinical depression he noticed what a profound difference exercise made to his mood and mental health. After gaining qualification as a personal trainer at TAFE and working for several years he decided to complete the qualifications necessary to become an exercise physiologist in the hope of helping people the way exercise helped him. One of Mark’s favourite ways to keep fit is boxing having competed when he was younger but also enjoys running, rowing and resistance training.
